Warning about Fake Websites

Applicants are cautioned not to be misguided by certain fake websites attempting to dupe Indian Visa seekers by providing misleading information and asking for online payment of fee for Passport/Visa and related services.

All applicants are advised to visit the official websites of the High Commission of India in Ottawa at www.hciottawa.ca, Consulate General of India in Toronto at www.cgitoronto.ca and Consulate General of India in Vancouver at www.cgivancouver.org for the correct information. These services have been outsourced by the Government of India to the BLS International Services Ltd in Canada, hence applicants may also visit their website at www.blsindia-canada.com.

Online Indian visa application forms are available at India's Home Ministry's website at: http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/

The payment of fee for Passport, Visa and related services is to be made to the BLS International or the High Commission/Consulates General of India as per the procedure mentioned in these websites and there is no provision of online payment.

Applicants who have been misled/cheated by such fake websites may file a complaint with the local cyber crime law enforcement agency.
