HCI celebrates Vishwa Hindi Diwas in Ottawa

HCI celebrates Vishwa Hindi Diwas in Ottawa

1. High Commission of India Ottawa, in collaboration with Mukul Hindi School, Ottawa celebrated the Vishwa Hindi Diwas on 28th January, 2017, along with the 68th Republic Day of India. Mr. Sanjay Banga, Attache (PIC) represented the Mission.

2. The celebration begun with the School Prayer by all the students and the National Anthems of both India and Canada. This was followed by a brief cultural programme which showcased the glory of Hindi language through songs, poems and patriotic songs by school children.

3. Mr. Banga read out the message of Hon’ble Prime Minister on World Hindi Diwas. To mark the occasion, the School had also held a Hindi Essay Competition. The winners were awarded plaques.

4. Mr. Chander Arya, Member of Parliament was the Guest of Honour.

5. Mr. Banga appreciated the school management for promoting Hindi language. More than 100 persons attended the function. In the end, light refreshment was served.
