 Business Visa

Business Visa (BV) is granted to those who wish to visit India for business and trade purposes. A letter from the applicant’s company /organisation in Canada as well as an invitation letter from India indicating the nature of applicant’s business, probable duration of stay, the places and firms to be visited in India is required.  More details about Business Visa are at  http://www.mha.nic.in/pdfs/work_visa_faq.pdf 

Processing Time 

It usually requires 8 business days to grant Business Visa, excluding the time taken in postal transmission.  

How to apply and the fee charged  

You need to download the form by clicking here.  You must also fill in Business Information Sheet. Submit both the forms at one of the offices of our outsourcing agents, VFS Global. Their office addresses, timings, phone numbers and e-mail address can be found by clicking here. The fee charged is C$ 183 for visa up to one year validity and C$ 306 for validity up to 5 years. In addition, you will be required to pay processing fee to VFS Global. Please consult them about the total cost and the exact procedure for remitting the fee.  

Applicants having Non-Canadian Passports

Normally, persons seeking Business Visa must apply to the High Commission of India in their native country. However, if you have been living in Canada on a long term visa or work permit or Permanent Resident card; and have been staying in Canada for over 2 years, your application for Business Visa can be considered. The fee and the processing time can be significantly different than those applicable for Canadian Passport holders. Please consult our outsourcing agents, VFS Global for details. Applicants having Pakistani Passport or persons of Pak origin

If you, or your parents or grand parents have/had Pakistani citizenship, a different procedure is required to be followed in your case. Please click here for details.
